Grand Slots Win at All Slots Casino
A woman from British Columbia in Canada became $25,000 richer after she played the hugely popular classic slot game, Totem Treasure at her favorite online casino. Lynne R. has been a dedicated member of All Slots online casino for nearly a decade and her love of the slots at this Microgaming powered site knew no boundaries. Last week, Lynne R. tried out the First Nations themed Totem Treasure and – to her delight – found herself with the jackpot in hand.
All Slots Casino is part of the Jackpot Factory group of gaming sites, all of which work off the Microgaming platform. The site is accredited by eCOGRA and awards players with a wide range of bonuses and promotions on a regular basis. The site also provides players with a safe and regulated gaming environment.
“We're really happy for Lynne,” said the Vice President for Player Affairs at the Jackpot Factory, David Brickman. “She's been a loyal player for a long time, and it's always exciting to see persistence pay off. With Canada Day right around the corner, I'm sure this jackpot will give Lynne even more reason to celebrate. Way to go!”
EGBA Slams Belgium Gambling Laws
The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA), as well as the Remote Gambling Association (RGA) have declared their intention to challenge Belgium’s new gambling laws by lodging a formal complaint with the European Commission. The groups wish to show that Belgium’s request to limit online gambling licenses only to those operators that have an off-line presence in the country contradicts free trade policies and prevents competition. While the Belgium government contends that the new laws have been set in place to protect consumers, EGBA and RGA argue that they protect local operators from foreign competition.
“If consumer protection was the real concern, licenses would be granted on the basis of objective criteria assessing the social responsibility of operators,” said Clive Hawkswood, Chief Executive of the RGA. “Unfortunately, the current system only aims at protecting a handful of existing land-based operators from meaningful competition.
“Far from benefitting consumers this will only serve to reduce the value and choice available to them,” he said. “There is absolutely no doubt that these measures are driven by protectionism rather than genuine concern for consumers,” continued Hawkswood. “We hope that the Commission will be consistent with its previous stance on the Belgian laws and will fulfill its duty as guardian of EU law by taking early action to remedy this abuse.”
